Life is so fragile, isn't it? He left Malaysia to return to Singapore in December 2010. Barely two months of his return to Singapore, he bade us farewell. Come Hari Raya celebration this year, it will not be the same anymore. No more Pakcik's quiet humour, no more his gentle way of telling funny tales of his younger days...... I'll miss this dear gentleman.
Some people come into our lives and they leave sooner than we expected, and they leave footprints on our hearts.
May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields.
And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
